Ingredients to make Gud-ly Gond-ly

  • 1/4 cup khuskhus
  • 1/4 cup white sesame seed
  • 1/4 cup saunf
  • 1/4 cup chopped almonds
  • 1/2 cup flaky grated jaggery
  • 1/4 cup amla candy ( I used readymade )
  • 2 tablespoon desiccated coconut (you can use flakes also)
  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon crushed sugar
  • 1 tablespoon curry leaves cut into small pieces
  • 2 tablespoon Gond small granules
  • 1/4 cup flaxseed

How to make Gud-ly Gond-ly

  1. Dry roast individually on low flame; saunf, sesame, flaxseed, coconut, khuskhus, curry leaves.
  2. Take little ghee and roast the almonds lightly until you get a nice nutty aroma and golden brown.
  3. Take little ghee and add gond on low flame and you will see it roasting into big bubbles. Cool them down on an absorbent paper.After it's cooled down lightly crush them.
  4. Mix the powdered sugar and crushed or grated jaggery together lightly.
  5. Once all the ingredients have cooled down completely take a large bowl and combine each ingredient lightly.
  6. Toss them all lightly.
  7. Fill them in clean dry bottles and serve anytime of the day.

My Tip:

Pregnant ladies be cautious as it contains gond. A pinch of peppermint powder could do wonders but since I did not have it could not post use it.
