Butterscotch Cake

Ingredients to make Butterscotch Cake

  • butter 1/2 cup
  • sugar 1 cup
  • eggs 2
  • maida 1 cup
  • Baking powder 1 teaspoon
  • butterscotch essence 1 teaspoon
  • For icing -
  • Powdered sugar 1/4 cup
  • butterscotch sauce 1/4 cup
  • Yellow food coloring 1/2 tablespoons
  • butterscotch essence 1/2 tablespoons
  • For sugar syrup -
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup water

How to make Butterscotch Cake

  1. In a bowl beat butter and sugar until fluffy
  2. Add eggs to this
  3. Seive Maida , baking powder and mix it well
  4. Add butterscotch essence to this and beat well
  5. And bake this for 30 minutes at conventional mode at 180 degrees in a 6-inch pan
  6. For icing
  7. Whip the whiping cream for 30 minutes and add icing sugar and essence to this
  8. Now add yellow food coloring to this and whip this for 2 minutes
  9. For sugar syrup
  10. Take 1\2 cup sugar and 1\2 water add and boil this for 2 minutes and let this cool down
  11. Icing the cake -
  12. Cut the cake into three layers
  13. Add syrup , butterscotch sauce and cream to each layer. Give a coat of icing
  14. Apply cream on the top and in the sides of the cake
  15. Decorate the cake with silver pearls and cherries
