ABOUT Doodh-malai paratha RECIPE

Goodness of wheat and milk do wonders to this simple looking paratha,it is soft like cotton and melt in mouth in no time..a very healty and good option for kids.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 2 cups whole wheat flour
  2. 1/2 tea spoon carom seeds
  3. 1/2 cup milk or little more
  4. 1 tea spoon salt
  5. 1/4 cup milk cream (A thick yellowish layer of fat forms on the surface, which is skimmed off).
  6. Clarified butter for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix whole wheat flour,salt and carom seeds in a bowl.
  2. Add warm milk and knead a soft dough.
  3. Cover dough with a wet muslin cloth and set it aside for 20 min
  4. Divide dough in six equal chunk,and give chunk round shape
  5. Take one ball,flatten it with the help of your palm.
  6. Roll out dough as thin as possible, apply generous amount of cream on it.
  7. Give cut from the center and roll it like a swirl.
  8. Again fatten it with your palm and roll it thin.
  9. Shallow fry it with clarified butter and serve hot.
