Ingredients to make Instant Gulabjamun (Using Milk Powder)

  • Milk Powder - 1 cup
  • Maida - 3 tbsp
  • Ghee - 1tsp
  • Soda bicarb - 1tsp
  • Milk - 50 - 75 ml or as needed to make a dough.
  • For syrup -
  • Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Water - 1/2 cup
  • Kesar , elaichi powder abd nuts as per taste.

How to make Instant Gulabjamun (Using Milk Powder)

  1. Mix all the ingredients leave milk aside to mix them well.
  2. Add milk with a small spoon as needed to make a soft dough with no lumps.
  3. Make small balls as per your choice round or elongated.
  4. Fry in ghee or oil as per your taste.
  5. Remove on an absorbent paper and keep aside.
  6. For sugar syrup -
  7. Mix sugar and water and heat stirring constantly till sugar melts and it forms 1 string syrup.
  8. Add kesar elachi to it give a stir
  9. Add the fried balls to syrup and leave it for 10 mins for balls to soak the syrup.
  10. Garnish with nuts and serve hot or cold.
My Tip: Serve hot Gulabjamun with vanilla ice-cream. You can add 1 tbsp of cocoa powder to make Chocolate Gulabjamun Make the dough with any fruit pulp and add 1 tsp of the respective essence to make fruit flavoured Gulabjamun. Serve dry Gulabjamun- remove from syrup after 10 mins and roll on nut powder or dedicated coconut or just in silver varakh.
