Eggless Vanilla sponge cake

Ingredients to make Eggless Vanilla sponge cake

  • Wheat flour-1 and 1/2 cups
  • Sugar-1 cup
  • Milk powder-2 tbsp
  • Ghee-2 tbsp
  • baking powder-1 tsp
  • Baking soda-1/2tsp
  • Milk-2&1/2 cups
  • vanilla essence-1 tsp
  • Chopped dryfruits/turifruity-2 tbsp

How to make Eggless Vanilla sponge cake

  1. First take melted ghee and sugar and mux properly.
  2. Sieve the flour, milk powder, baking powder, soda together.
  3. Add the sieved ingredients to sugar and ghee mixture adding milk gradually and stirring. The batter should be of medium consistency. Adjust milk accordingly.
  4. Now add vanilla essence and dry fruits and give a light stir.
  5. Pour the batter in a greased cake mould and sprinkle some nuts on top.
  6. Keep it in preheated oven and bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
  7. You can check after 30 minutes using a tooth pick .
  8. Let the cake cool and then remove from mould. Cut into pieces and serve to your loved ones.

My Tip:

You can use maida also, I used wheat flour as its healthy and my family members love this cake so they can't eat just 1 piece.
