Kuttu ka Pakora - Buckwheat Fritters

Ingredients to make Kuttu ka Pakora - Buckwheat Fritters

  • 1/2 cup buckwheat flour
  • 1 tbsp rock salt or black salt
  • oil for deep frying - (I use mustard)
  • 2 medium potatoes cut into thin round slices
  • 1/2 cupped chopped yellow pumpkin (kaddu)
  • paneer - 250 gms

How to make Kuttu ka Pakora - Buckwheat Fritters

  1. Sift the flour and salt into a bowl. Gradually add about 1/3 cup of water and mix it to make a smooth batter.
  2. Heat the oil in a kadhai or wok. Dip the potato slices into the batter and fry them in batches over moderate heat, till golden brown.
  3. Drain and place on kitchen paper to absorb excess oil. Repeat with the pumpkin cubes/pumpkin slices.
