  • Medium size Climbing perch fish 6 pieces.
  • Mustard oil - 1 Cup
  • Onion paste - 2 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder - 1 tsp
  • salt as per taste
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • Cumin seed - 1/2 tsp
  • Bay leaf - 1
  • Whole cinnamon, cardamom, clove - 1 tbsp

How to make Climbing Perch Fish In Traditional Mustard Oil Gravy

  1. Marinade the fish pieces with salt and turmeric powder.
  2. In a large pan heat oil, shallow fry the fish pieces and keep aside.
  3. Add more oil in the pan. Add whole garam masala and cumin powder and stir.
  4. Add onion paste, ginger garlic paste, cumin powder, turmeric powder, salt and stir it for 5 mins. When oil separates from spices add warm water.
  5. Add the fried fish pieces. Mix properly..
