ABOUT Tri colour semolina uttappam RECIPE

Children don't like green vegetables and this is one of the best ways to make them eat those and enrich their bodies with nutrients.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 cup semolina
  2. 1 cup spinach puree
  3. 1 cup beet root puree
  4. 3 tsp ginger garlic paste
  5. Three green chillies finely chopped
  6. Salt
  7. 1/2 cup curd
  8. 6 tsp Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Make a batter with semolina, 2 tsp curd, salt and water to form a thick batter like uttapam batter.
  2. Divide this mixture into 3 parts, add spinach puree to one part where as add beet root puree to another. mix well and keep aside.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste,salt ,green chilly to the green mixture and mix it well.
  4. Heat the pan and grease it with little oil, then pour a ladle of the green batter and spread it like dosa. Cook on one side and flip to another to get it cooked.
  5. Now make a dosa with the white batter, spread some chopped green chillies and cumin seeds on top.
  6. Next pour the red batter and do same thing .
  7. If you want 3 layers in just one dosa/uttapam, pour the green batter first, then pour the white one and finally the red one.
  8. Serve it with chutney or sauce.
