Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. rice flour 1 1/4 cup
  2. pottukadala powder 1/4 cup
  3. asafoetida powder 2 pinch
  4. chilli powder 1/4 tsp ( optional )
  5. black seseme 1/4 tsp.
  6. salt
  7. warm water to make dough
  8. oil to deep fry.

Instructions

  1. mix all ingredients together. if needed apply some oil on hands & make a smooth dough , adding enough warm water.
  2. heat oil to deep fry.
  3. Take a murukku presser & fill with dough. u can press straight to the hot oil . u will get long strips of murukku. .or.
  4. apply oil on a platic sheet. press dough a little in the shape of a murukku i have made & turn it to the hot oil.
  5. fry both sides without changing colour. .store in air tight container.
