About Khichdi Fritters Recipe

A nice way to use leftover khichdi in these scrumptious fritters.

Khichdi Fritters

Ingredients to make Khichdi Fritters

  • 1 cup leftover Khichdi
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 Green chilli chopped
  • few coriander leaves chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/4 cup Corn flour
  • oil for frying
  • salt to taste

How to make Khichdi Fritters

  1. Take a bowl and mix in all the ingredients listed, except oil. Mix till all the ingredients combine and form firm dough like consistency.
  2. In a pan heat enough oil for deep frying. Till the time oil heats up, make small round balls of the above dough.
  3. Add to hot oil and fry till the balls turn nice golden. Drain and remove on to a kitchen absorbent paper.
  4. To get crispier outer crust fry these balls again in oil for 2 minutes. Remove on to a kitchen absorbent paper and serve hot with your choice of chutney.
