Besani masala okra

Ingredients to make Besani masala okra

  • 250 gm okra cut into roundls
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 3 teaspoon gram flour
  • 1 tablspoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp fennel seeds powder
  • A generous pinch of hing
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • salt as required
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mango powder

How to make Besani masala okra

  1. Wash,dry and cut okra rounds.
  2. Take a kadai,add oil,hing and jeera.
  3. Let them crackle,add okra,onions,salt,haldi and stir it.
  4. Let it cook for 15 minutes without covering.
  5. As they get soft add gramflour,chilli powder,fennel seeds powder and cook for 10 minutes on low flame.
  6. Ready, serve hot with chapati.

My Tip:

You can also add crushed garlic
