About Garlic String Beans Recipe

Green Beans! The unripe, young fruit with full of Vitamins like A, C, K, B6 and folic acid. In terms of minerals, they are good source of calcium, silicon, iron, manganese, potassium and copper. Green Beans also called as French Beans or String Beans. The fiber content is very high in it and provides some of our daily proteins requirement. So here, we come with Garlic Green Beans dish, popular throughout the United States. This fresh Garlic Green Beans will do all this easy, healthy and flavorful side dish.

Garlic String Beans

Ingredients to make Garlic String Beans

  • French Green Beans / Beans Fali – 300 gm
  • olive Oil / Any Oil – 3 tsp
  • Chopped garlic – ¼ cup
  • Soya Sauce – 1 tsp
  • salt – ¼ tsp
  • Melted butter / Desi ghee – 2 tsp
  • Water for Boiling - as required

How to make Garlic String Beans

  1. Wash Green Beans with Water and wipe it with towel.
  2. Then remove edges and keep aside.
  3. In hot boiling Water add all the Beans and let it cook until you get nice two-three times good boil (approx. 7-8Min).
  4. Strain the Water completely and keep the Beans aside.
  5. In a heating pan add 2 tsp of Olive Oil or any Oil of your choice and heat it.
  6. Add chopped Garlic into the pan and sauté Garlics for few min. ( do not sauté too much or else it tastes bitter)
  7. Furthermore, add cooked Beans and mix well.
  8. Add 1 tsp of Soya Sauce.
  9. Then add ¼ tsp of Salt into the pan and cook on low flame until Beans changes its color and gets little crispy.
  10. Add 2 tsp of melted butter and give a nice mix.
  11. Garlic String Beans is now ready to serve with Vinegar Chinese Sauce.

My Tip:

Instead of getting it cook crispy in pan you can Preheat Oven and bake the beans for 25 Min at 1800 Celsius. Do not over sauté the Garlics, as it may taste bitter if done so.
