Paneer Papad

Ingredients to make Paneer Papad

  • 4 urad dal Papads crushed lightly
  • 200 grams cottage cheese Cubes
  • 1/4 cup gram flour (besan)
  • 2 tablespoons crushed peanut
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • cumin powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • salt to taste
  • 3 tablespoons green chutney
  • oil for deep-frying

How to make Paneer Papad

  1. Mix together gram flour, chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, crushed peanut and salt in a bowl. Add sufficient water and whisk to make a thick smooth batter.
  2. cut the cottage cheese cubes from middle and apply green chutney.
  3. Spread the crushed papads evenly on a plate.
  4. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Dip the cottage cheese cubes in the batter and roll in the crushed papads. Gently slide into hot oil and deep-fry in medium hot oil till golden. Drain on absorbent.
  5. Serve hot with tomato sauce
