About Vati dal na khamn Recipe

Vati Dal na Khaman is a traditional Gujarati snack. It's made from whole soaked chana dal which is full of protein so it's very healthy and also tasty.

Ingredients to make Vati dal na khamn

  • 2 cup Bengal gram / chana dal
  • 500 ml water
  • 1tbsp chilly ginger paste
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp citric acid
  • Chopped coriander as per required
  • For tadka
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustered seeds
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 3-4 Chopped green chilly
  • coriander chopped for garnish

How to make Vati dal na khamn

  1. 2 CUP BENGAL GRAM /CHANA DAL
  2. ADD 500 ML WATER OR AS PER REQUIRED TO SOAK
  3. SOAK OVER NIGHT
  4. IN MIXTURE JAR TAKE SOAK BENGAL GRAM AND 1 GLASS OF WATER AND CRUSH IT
  5. 1 TBSP CHILLY GINGER PASTE , SALT AS PER TASTE, 1 TSP TURMERIC POWDER
  6. 1BOWL SOUR CURD, 1/4 TSP CITRIC ACIDE, 1/2 TSP BAKING SODA
  7. MIX
  8. ADD 1 BOWL BUTTER MILK
  9. GREASE THE THALI WITH OIL
  10. POUR KHAMN BATTER
  11. KEEP IT IN STAND
  12. COOK IT FOR 15 -20 MINUTES
  13. READY
  14. CUT IN SQUARE
  15. HEAT 1TBSP OIL IN KADHAI
  16. 1 TSP MUSTERED SEEDS AND 1 TBSP SESAME SEEDS
  17. WHEN IT CRACKLING ADD 3 CHOPPED GREEN CHILLY AND KHAMN
  18. MIX IT
  19. SERVE AND GARNISH WITH CORIANDER
