About Lemon rasam Recipe

This is a quick recipe of rasam , infused with the flavour of lemon, to be served with some hot rice on the side.

Ingredients to make Lemon rasam

  • tomato 3
  • lemon 1
  • dry red chilli 2
  • garlic 3
  • pepper corns - 1 tbsp
  • cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • garlic cloves - 2
  • For tempering :
  • mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • curry leaves - 10
  • green chillies [slit] - 2
  • ghee
  • salt

How to make Lemon rasam

  1. Make a paste of the tomatoes, fry red chillies. cumin seeds, pepper corns, garlic cloves.
  2. Heat this mixture in a saucepan with required amount of water. Add lemon juice and salt to it. let this simmer and cook.
  3. Once cooked enough, keep aside. heat a pan with some oil for the tempering.
  4. Then add the mustard seeds, curry leaves and green chillies. Once they splutter, add this to the rasam. mix well and serve hot.
