About Mince fry (Beef) Recipe

A classic Anglo-Indian dish.

Mince fry (Beef)

Ingredients to make Mince fry (Beef)

  • 1/2 kg mince beef or mutton/chicken
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 2 medium-sized onion
  • 1 large sized tomato
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • Whole spice- cloves (5)
  • cinnamon- 1 inch stick
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder/curry powder
  • salt to taste

How to make Mince fry (Beef)

  1. Heat oil and add the cloves and cinnamon.
  2. Add the onion with a pinch of salt and saute till it's translucent. Then add the ginger-garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes away.
  3. Add all the powders (except the garam masala) chilli, tumeric, cummin, coriander, and salt. Saute for about 4 mins.
  4. Once the masala is cooked, add the raw meat and coat it with the masala. Next, add the tomato.
  5. Add 1/2 cup of water and close the lid. Let it cook for about 10 mins.
  6. Now add the garam masala and cook for another 5 mins.
