A festive Odia dish which is mostly prepared as a Prasad.

Chuda Ghasa

Ingredients to make Chuda Ghasa

  • Chuda (Poha) - 1 and 1/2 cup
  • coconut- 1
  • sugar- 4 to 5 tbsp
  • ghee- 2 tbsp
  • Black pepper- 4 to 5
  • cardamom- 1

How to make Chuda Ghasa

  1. Grind the chuda or poha to a coarse powder form.
  2. Scrap the coconut and keep aside. Crush the black pepper and cardamom into powder separately.
  3. In a flat surface add the scrapped coconut and ghee. Mix these properly with your hands, then add the sugar and repeat the process. Add powder poha or chuda and repeat the process again.
  4. Finally add the powdered black pepper and cardamom. Mix it properly and serve.
  5. It is served best with Suji khiri and Dalma.
