Masaledar Paneer

Ingredients to make Masaledar Paneer

  • Cubes of paneer /cottage cheese
  • 1 large sized onion
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 small peice of ginger
  • 1 green chilli
  • Soaked cashews
  • 1 large size tomato
  • 1/2 tsp degi mirch
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala
  • Pinch of Kasuri methi
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil

How to make Masaledar Paneer

  1. Grind onion, garlic ginger and green chilli.(it should be a smooth paste)
  2. Grind wet cashews also.
  3. Take a wok. Put oil in it and cumin seeds. As it starts crackling add the ground paste.
  4. Cook for 1 minute. As the color starts changing, add cashew paste.
  5. Cook for sometime and add pureed tomato.
  6. Cook for 1-2 minutes. Until Oil starts separating from the sides.
  7. Now add all dry masalas.
  8. Add 1/2 cup water so that all masalas blend together.
  9. Add cubes of paneer. Mix it properly, add 1/2 cup water, cover it and cook for a minute on low flame. So that paneer is coated with paste and masalas.
  10. Flavours will blend into paneer.
  11. Paneer masala is ready to serve hot with tandoori roti or naan.
