Khichadi and sprouts chilla

Ingredients to make Khichadi and sprouts chilla

  • rice daal khichadi 1 cup
  • Mixed sprouts 1 cup
  • besan 1 cup
  • curd 2 tbsp
  • coriander leaves 1/2 bunch
  • salt as per taste
  • green chillies as per taste
  • Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Urad daal 1/2 tsp
  • oil for shallow frying

How to make Khichadi and sprouts chilla

  1. Blend khichadi, sprouts, besan and curd to get a semi smooth mixture.
  2. Adding salt, green chillies and sesame seeds. Mix well. Add water to get desired consistency. (Not too thick nor too watery)
  3. Heat 1 tsp oil, add mustard seeds, asafoetida, urad dal and saute for a minute. Pour this in the batter. Add coriander leaves.
  4. Now prepare chilla on a hot pan and serve with tomato ketchup or green chutney.

My Tip:

Cover the chilla while cooking first side. So sprouts will be cooked.
