Masaledar Saboo Dana Khichdi

Ingredients to make Masaledar Saboo Dana Khichdi

  • 1 cup sago, soaked for an hour
  • onions chopped 3
  • green chillies chopped 2-3
  • curry leaves 8-10
  • ginger chopped 1 tbsp
  • oil 3 tbsp
  • Carom seeds 1/4 tsp
  • cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Degi mirch 1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  • mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  • water 1 cup

How to make Masaledar Saboo Dana Khichdi

  1. Heat oil, then add mustard seeds, carom seeds, cumin seeds, ginger, turmeric, degi mirch, curry leaves, green chilli and onions.
  2. Saute till the onions are translucent in colour.
  3. Add sago, water and salt to taste. Cover and simmer for about 5-7 minutes or till it's done.
  4. Add coriander leaves to garnish on top.

Once cooked, keep it covered for 5 minutes then serve it.
