With this recipe, you can make fondant sheets at home to decorate cakes for your loved ones.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Marshmallows : 1 pkt or 150g (pink and white clour marshmallows)
  2. Water : 4 tbsp
  3. Vanilla essence : 1 tsp
  4. Icing sugar : 3-4 cups
  5. Oil for kneading and little bit for coating fondant ball

Instructions

  1. Take a big glass micro safe bowl.
  2. Place marshmallows in it. Add 2 tbsp water. Do not mix. Place the bowl in microwave and press 30 sec and then start. Take it out of the microwave and mix with spoon.
  3. Again add 2 tbsp water and place bowl in microwave. Press 30 sec and then start. Take it out of the micro and mix well.
  4. It will all melt and become a creamy paste with no pcs of marshmallow left.
  5. Add vanilla essence. Mix well with spoon.
  6. Now add icing sugar 1 cup at a time. Mix well with spoon because it will be very sticky.
  7. Again add 1 cup and again mix. Now grease your fingers start kneading the mixture to a smooth dough. Adding icing sugar and mix well.
  8. Now take it out on the cling film.
  9. Add icing sugar 1 tbsp at a time and keep on mixing into a soft smooth dough.
  10. Dip your fingers in water and again knead it.
  11. Now take oil on your hands and knead it till no cracks are seen and the dough is no more sticky.
  12. Grease the dough with oil.
  13. Tightly wrap it with cling film. And keep it in air tight jar.
  14. No need to keep in the fridge.
  15. For best results always keep it covered with cling film and before using it keep it overnight and use it next day.
  16. You can make any object from the dough or you can use it as an icing sheet.
  17. Before using it grease rolling pin with oil. Then roll the dough thin like chapati. And start making objects.
  18. If it gets hard. Then wet your hands with water and start kneading again. It will be ready for use. Or just micro it for 10 sec.
  19. Make small balls from the dough and shape it like a flower. And decorate the cake.
