About khakhra Chaat Recipe

A very easy snack with toppings of your kids choice, pleasing to the eyes, I bet no one can say NO to it.

Ingredients to make khakhra Chaat

  • 6 to 7 - mini wheat khakra crisps (Sandwich masala flavour)
  • 1 - medium potato boiled and peeled
  • 1 - medium onion finely chopped
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp - roasted cumin powder
  • 1 tsp - red chili powder
  • 1 tsp - chaat masala
  • 1/4 cup - boiled corn kernels
  • 2 Tbsp - mint chutney
  • 2 Tbsp - tamarind chutney
  • A few Fresh coriander sprigs
  • Juice of - 1/2 lemon
  • Sweetened yogurt for garnishing
  • Fine sev for garnishing

How to make khakhra Chaat

  1. Chop potatoes and place in a bowl. Add onion, salt, cumin powder, red chili powder and chaat masala, Mix well. Add corn kernels and mix.
  2. Add together mint chutney and tamarind chutney, mix well. Add finely chopped coriander sprigs and lemon juice. Place khakra crisps cut into halves on a serving platter.
  3. Top each with a spoonful of chaat mix, garnish with yogurt, mint chutney, tamarind chutney and sev. Sprinkle some red chili powder on top.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  4. Throw in some fresh pomegranate to make it more appealing.
