Ingredients to make Makhane in onion gravy

  • Onions medium size 4
  • tomatoes medium size 2
  • ggc pate 1 spoon
  • red chilli pwd 1 spoon
  • Haldi 1 tsp
  • dhaniya zeera pwd 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • green chillies slit 2 nos
  • Salt to taste.
  • 1 large Potato cubed
  • few makhane ( 12 to 15 nos)
  • oil 5 tbsp or a big laddle full
  • Coriander leaves to garnish
  • garam masala to garnish

How to make Makhane in onion gravy

  1. Take a pressure cooker.
  2. Heat a laddle full of oil( around 5 tbsp)
  3. Add onions chopped
  4. Cook till golden brown.
  5. Add in red chilli pwd, salt, dhaniya zeera pwd,
  6. Add in tomatoes.
  7. Stir n add 1/2 cup water.
  8. Pressure cook for 1 whistle.
  9. Open the lid after pressure is released and grind with hand mixer.
  10. Add on potatoes n makhane.
  11. Add slit green chillies and garam masala
  12. Cook on high flame.(bhune) till oil comes out n aroma spreads in whole house.
  13. Add 1 n 1/2 cup water n pressure cook for 1 whistle.
  14. Serve hot with plain rice.

My Tip:

The more u bhunofy the sabzi the more the taste.
