ABOUT Aloo Masoor Dal RECIPE

This protein rich insanely delicious saucy lentil gravy with mouth melting potatoes cooked in the spices makes a perfect serve with roti naan or rice anytime. Serve it with a dash of cream and enjoy the thick saucy gravy.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Whole masoor - 200 gms
  2. Potatoes - 2 large

Instructions

  1. IN 1 TBSP HOT OIL & 1 TBSP GHEE, ADD 1 TSP EACH OF MUSTARD & CUMIN SEEDS
  2. ADD 8-10 GARLIC CLOVES, 1 GREEN CHILLI & 1 DRY RED CHILLI
  3. ADD 3 SLICED ONIONS & SAUTE
  4. ADD 1 TBSP KASURI METHI
  5. ADD 1 TBSP GINGER-GARLIC PASTE
  6. ADD 2 DICED POTATOES
  7. ADD 1/2 TSP TUMERIC, 1 TSP RED CHILLI, 1 TSP GARAM MASALA , 1 TSP CORIANDER & SALT TO TASTE
  8. ADD 2OO GMS PRE SOAKED ( FOR 2 HOURS ) MASOOR DAL
  9. ADD 4 CUPS OF WATER, PRESSURE COOK UP TILL 3 WHISTLES , TAKE OFF HEAT, ADD A DASH OF LEMON JUICE AND SERVE HOT
