Ingredients to make Perfect Pound Cake

  • 3 tbsp Milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1.5 tsp Vanilla essence
  • 1.5 cup all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup castor sugar
  • 3/4 tsp Baking Powder
  • 13 tbsp Softened butter

How to make Perfect Pound Cake

  1. In one bowl, add the milk, eggs and vanilla and mix it lightly.
  2. In a larger bowl, add the remaining ingredients and beat it well.
  3. Preheat the oven at 180 degrees celsius and prepare a cake tin by greasing and flouring it.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients in three additions and mix it well, till its light and fluffy.
  5. Transfer into the cake tin and bake for 45 minutes or till its done.
  6. Serve this cake warm with a cup of coffee or tea.
