Ingredients to make kung pao chicken

  • for marination : 1) chicken breast 250 grams
  • 2) soya sauce 1 tbsp
  • 3) vinegar 1/2 tsp
  • 4) salt as per taste
  • 5) cornflour 1/2 tbsp
  • for sauce :1) soya sauce 1 tbsp
  • 2) dark soya sauce 3 tbsp
  • 3) conflour 1 1/2 tbsp
  • 4) sugar 1 tsp
  • 5) vinegar 1 tsp ( if available black )
  • 6)water 1/2 cup
  • Sesame oil 1 tbsp
  • for cooking 1) butter 1 tbsp
  • 2) whole red chillie 4-5
  • 3) black pepper corns cruhed 1 tsp
  • 4) ginger garlic chopped 1 tsp
  • for garnish 1) capsicum 1/2 sliced
  • 2) few sprige spring onion finely chopped
  • 3) baby tomatoes ( optional)

How to make kung pao chicken

  1. marinate the chicken in the masalas given under marination and leave aside for. 30 mins
  2. prepare the sauce mixing all the ingredients under sauce and mix well keep aside
  3. ina wok heat oil add dried red chillies crushed peppercorns
  4. now add the marinated chicken and saute on high till chicken is tender and water is evaporated
  5. now add the prepared sauce and continue stiring
  6. add d chopped gimger garlic and d veggies cook. till done
